Hamline University’s Adult Development and Aging students seek a community partner with which to bridge the gap between theory and practice related to aging in the community. Students will build on theory and developmental knowledge to identify real-world applications that foster and support aging in the community, intergenerational connection, and reduce ageism. This course also aims to strengthen students’ collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are flexible and will be defined in collaboration with the community partner before the start of the project. Students will complete community needs assessments, develop educational materials, and informational briefs with evidence-based recommendations.
