project planning business services data analysisBusiness Information Systems (BIS) students from Saskpolytech are available for project work to support their Cooperative Education (COOP) / Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience. The BIS program is accredited by the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS). Students eligible for COOP and WIL have taken courses in Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint), C# WPF programming, Java programming (OOP, network programming, concurrency, JDBC), Databases (Access, Oracle, MS SQL Server), and Web programming (HTML, JavaScript/JQuery, Ajax, HTTP fundamentals), Networking essentials( TCP/IP fundamentals, windows server set up and administration, IIS set up and configuration). This technical training has been supported by business fundamentals, including accounting, business communications, business statistics, and organizational behaviors.
Learners
Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project. The student should complete a minimum of 320 hours with your organization by October 30th, 2020.

Requirements
- Website Development - Conduct a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable; create a design proposal including mock-ups, budget, and timeline; build a fully-functioning website.
- Application Development - Select the best technologies for creating the application or feature; create a fully-functioning application.
- Software Architecture Development - Architect the software of a new product; improve the architecture of an existing system;
- Application Programming Interfaces – Design of an application.
- Open Source Software Management - Contribute to open source projects through bug fixing or feature implementation.
- Database Analysis – Database, queries and reporting
