The Centre for Career and Vocation is seeking student workers to help develop and expand resources and supports for our LGBTQIA2S+ student population, specifically within a career development framework. This project will include, but is not limited to:
- Research career development and academic resources for LGBTQIA2S+ students for the development of an LGBTQIA2S+ resource page
- Identify programs and resources that serve LGBTQIA2S+ individuals who might make good partners for CMU
- Develop resources that fill gaps existing at CMU related to vocational exploration
- Draft recommendations for how the institution can better serve LGBTQIA2S+ students
Key skills and experiences: strong understanding of issues facing LGBTQIA2S+ students, excellent ability to find and synthesize information, strong communication skills; preference will be given to candidates with lived experience
This position will report to the Director of the Centre for Career and Vocation through email and Teams.
