Peer Connections

xxx

Jan 15, 2021 - May 1, 2021

The Peer Connections program helps new CNC students during their transition and adjustment to post-secondary life in Canada. The goal of the program is to connect incoming students with Peer Connectors and form online groups to meet and support one another, directing them to CNC resources, activities and student services while fostering a sense of CNC belonging and community. Peer Connectors are 2nd year students who will facilitate these groups and refer Peer Participants to additional resources they may need.

Tourism & Hotel Management Practicum Placement

THMG 340

Sep 28, 2020 - Dec 1, 2020

As the Hospitality and Tourism industry is becoming one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world, the success of these businesses will depend the ability to understand the hospitality market and ensure offerings are appropriate and extended based on business demands. Our students from the Tourism & Hotel Management Program will offer their recently learned knowledge and skills to help your business understand the market they are competing in, analyze past and project future revenues, create strategies to plan for growth, develop and identify branding opportunities and develop financial forecasts. We are open to group projects for 2-4 students as well as independent projects. The time commitment is an approximation and are happy to discuss projects that require more or less hours. **All companies must complete CNC's specific practicum evaluation feedback form at the end of the placement.**
